INSTRUCTIONS FOR FACEBOOK GROUP

Clicking the See Pics Here link will take you to the Facebook logon page. Once you enter your logon credentials, one of two things will happen. Either the class picture will appear at the top, or you will get a message saying the content is not currently available. If you can see the class picture, skip the rest of this paragraph and go to the next paragraph for some tips on navigating through the 109 pictures that are loaded. If you get the message about content not available, it means you have not yet been added to the private viewing group. This extra step was taken because most people don’t want their pictures out there on Facebook for the world to see. To see the pictures, you must be added to the group by someone who is already in the group and who is a Facebook friend of yours. A few names who are already in the group, and are already friended with many classmates are Carey Dowdle, Martha Pugh, Lynn Kugele, and Deenie Gilluly. If you are already Facebook friends with one of them or with someone else who you know is already a member of the reunion photo group, you can ask them to place you in the group (to do that, they click on members, then on add people) and proceed to the next paragraph for some added details of the site. Otherwise you can ask Larry Bredeson to friend you into the dummy account set up for these pictures. Three Facebook accounts will show up if you search for Larry using “search for friends” in Facebook. The one you want has his picture, and mentions White Station in its tag line. Ask to be friended by that account, and to be sure he notices, it would probably be wise to send a confirming email request to [email protected]. He will then place you in the group.

Once you can see the class picture at the top, right under that picture, click on “Photos”. Two album titles will appear, Main Album and Photo Booth Pics. Click on whichever one you want to view. You can then either look through the thumbnails and click on those you want to see full screen, or you can click on the first one, and go through them using the right/left arrow keys. The pictures are not “tagged” with names you can roll over with the mouse because that gets into a mess with Facebook privacy. Instead, once you have an individual picture up, look over to the right in the comments section. Each picture has a number, and most of them have most of the people identified. For any names that are missing or incorrect, send an email to [email protected] with picture number and correct names and he will add or correct them as appropriate.
